Paul Calvo & Company has been in business for over 30 years. Paul Calvo bought his first investment property at age 22. In 1977, Paul received his California real estate salesman’s license and worked for Residential and Commercial Realty, this company had, at that time, 17 offices in Southern California.
In 1978, Paul, along with three partners, opened Las Casas Realty, at it’s height it had three offices. In 1980, Paul received his broker’s license from the California Department of Real Estate, which he still holds active and in good standing.
In 1982, Paul sold his interest in Las Casas Realty and started Paul Calvo & Company. Since that date it’s mission has been to buy, sell and manage real estate.
Since Paul Calvo & Company was formed, it has been at the same location since 1993, in an office building which it owns.
Since 1982, Paul Calvo & Company has bought and sold several thousand residential and commercial units throughout Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties.
In most cases, we have been able, through our management and asset improvements to refinance after a few years of our acquisition and get at least all of our capital investment back while still maintaining a healthy cash flow.
At this time we are managing approximately 3000 apartment units and about 200,000 square feet of commercial buildings and about 50,000 square feet of office and medical buildings.
We have also, in the past, worked with our clients in all aspects of the management of their buildings, from acquisition, including due diligence and all types of financing, from institutions including FHA and Fannie Mae.
We have also been involved in working with the local cities in code compliance and extensive repositioning of assets.
Paul Calvo has in the past, been an expert witness in court proceedings regarding aspects of real estate management.
